INTERGROUP OFFICER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS AND DUTIES
Filling an office position is an honor and service to your recovery and your abstinence and for the service for the recovery and abstinence. Many can and will attest to the many benefits and blessings they have received through being an officer and serving your 12-Step Program and Overeaters Anonymous as a whole, from the local level all the way up to the national level. It is indeed an opportunity brimming with prospects to learn new skills and interact on different levels with a wide variety of individuals from all over. SO! So, why not give it whirl?!? I double dog dare you....
In case you were wondering what it takes be qualified to apply to fill a Board office, throw your hat into the ring, as it were.....

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE INTERGROUP BOARD
A. Be working the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of OA Service to the best
of their ability for one (1) year.
B. Have six (6) months current abstinence except for the WSBC Delegate and Region One
Representative(s). See Art. IV, Sec. 6 F & G).
1. WSBC delegates must comply with the abstinence and length of service requirements in the
OA, Inc. Bylaws, Subpart B, Article X, Section 3c 1). Current requirements are one (1) year
current abstinence and at least two (2) years of service beyond the group level.
2. Region representative must comply with the abstinence and length of service specified in
the Region’s Bylaws of one (1) year abstinence and completed all twelve steps.
D. Be a regular member of an affiliated group for one (1) year.

(BOARD) SECRETARY/CO-SECRETARY (1 year term-March)
(BOARD) TREASURER (2 year term-March)

(BOARD) REGION ONE REPRESENTATIVE (2 year term-Dec)
(BOARD) MEMBER AT LARGE (1 year term-March)
