Welcome to the Lake Country OA* Intergroup
Welcome to the Lake Country Intergroup website!
Who are we? Overeaters Anonymous Lake Country service group area includes: Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho and Southern BC, Canada. Meetings can be found in Spokane, Spokane Valley and Ephrata in Washington and Bonners Ferry, Cocolalla, Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, and Plummer in Idaho.
Our mission, our purpose, is to share our ESH, otherwise known as Experience, Strength and Hope with each other to recover from the common disease: of being a compulsive overeater, someone who has body image issues, etc.
We share our failures, struggles, successes, fears, and everything else in-between. We support one another and we encourage each of our fellow sufferers. We listen. Importantly, what we do not do is share with outsiders anything you shared with us. This is what we call anonymity. It means, very simply, that you are safe. It means you are not alone. We are all in this together. And together we can do what we alone ourselves cannot do by ourselves.
What OA is not: It IS NOT a Diet Club!
What OA is: It IS a fellowship of folks suffering from a common disease.
